Authentic Style Campaign- Spotlight on Janet Neal

344pm’s weekly Authentic Style Campaign features an inspirational woman entrepreneur or executive whose style I admire and reflects their unparalleled personal brand.

Today’s Authentic Style Spotlight is on Janet Neal who is the Founder and Queen Bee at The Superbwoman, Inc.

Janet is a Superbwoman and a “Reformed Superwoman” who has learned how to lead a “should free”, productive, joyful, and powerful life, and believes all women can do the same. I can’t remember the exact moment I met Janet, but I do remember taking note of her confidence, ease and style. The ease that comes from someone who is sure of herself and her power. I read her book, The Superb Woman: It’s All About The Be in one day, then I read it again and again. It’s perfect for working moms who are busy “doing” instead of “being”.  Janet truly lives her unique personal brand and style day in and day out.

Here’s what Janet has to say about her brand and style:

About: I’m a passionate believer in the power of women…when they realize it. That is the mission of The Superbwoman: to get women to turn away from the “Superwoman” ideal, which is all about doing what someone else tells you what you should do, and instead learn to first BE your own powerful self and then go DO amazing things!

What 3 words describe your personal style? Unique, flowing, comfortable

How does your style reflect your personal brand? I encourage women to be their unique selves. That is the way I dress.

What is your signature piece? My glasses. And my hair. And a flowing black jacket that works with everything.

Be Courageous

DVF quote.jpg

Fear is a tricky thing- while it holds us back and wreaks havoc on our mental state, it still offers a sense of (false) security. And that false security feels good, till it doesn't...

When we look inward to find our authentic selves we also have to acknowledge our fears, our anxieties and other unpleasant things. Because without understanding them and working on them we can't have an authentic brand or style.

When I launched 344pm 6 years ago I had a wonderful client who was willing to give this newbie a shot. We went through the process and the day came where I would present my recommendations to her. About 5 min into the virtual session she stared crying. The first thought in my head was- I blew it, I'm never going to be able to get this business off the ground, I've disappointed my client.  Before I could say anything she apologized and said she'd never worn such vibrant colors. That the top we were discussing was beautiful and the color overtook her, in a good way. She said she "could finally shine". We both sighed and I reassured her she would shine. And at that moment both my client and I took a courageous step and overcame our fears.

Being authentic is being courageous and putting yourself out there. It's taking a chance and launching a business, wearing new colors that work for you, accepting and dressing FOR your body shape or anything you do that allows you to be confident, shine and be you. I was glad I could give my client the support she needed to shine. I'm glad she was courageous and wore the bright colored top. I'm so grateful she taught me this so I can be the supportive force my clients need to find their personal style.

Authentic Style Campaign- Spotlight on Gabriella Ribeiro

344pm’s weekly Authentic Style Campaign features an inspirational woman entrepreneur or executive whose style I admire and reflects their unparalleled personal brand.

Today’s Authentic Style Spotlight is on Gabriella Ribeiro who is the Founder of Explorateur Journeys and Editor in Chief of The Mogul Mom.

Gabriella is a serial entrepreneur, single mom, thrill seeker, adventurist, and global wanderer. I’m lucky to call her a friend and client. She completely lives by her motto “Just F*cking Do It”. Which also happens to be the title of her inspirational book. She’s bold, daring, supportive and just does it. All elements that show up in her style and true self. Fear is not an option for Gabriella. After all, she’s the only one I know that can run through airports on multi-leg international flights- in stilettos… :)

Here’s what Gabriella has to say about her brand and style:

About: I run a few different businesses but what they all have in common is that my passion drives them so they are built on strength, authenticity and a penchant for pushing the envelope both in travel and also with regard to helping women be the best entrepreneurs they can be.

What 3 words describe your personal style? Elevated casual, edgy, bold

How does your style reflect your personal brand? The types of business initiatives and content I create for clients has to be out of the box and appeals to those that are unafraid to take chances. Though I integrate fairly standard pieces in my wardrobe generally, I love accenting them with unexpected pieces.

What is your signature piece? A nice big designer bag 😊

Authentic Style Campaign- Spotlight on Kelli Wingo

344pm’s Authentic Style Campaign features an inspirational woman entrepreneur or executive whose style I admire and reflects their unparalleled personal brand.

Today’s Authentic Style Spotlight is on Kelli Wingo who is the Founder/Chief Vision & Strategy Officer at KMW Catalyst. I met Kelli at an Ellevate Network Northern New Jersey event. I noticed that her style and brand were perfectly intertwined. As a matter of fact, they are so intertwined that when I approached Kelli to be a part of the authentic style campaign, she said she’s never really thought of her personal style. How she shows up just comes from within! And that my friends is what it means to be your true authentic self.

Here’s what Kelli has to say about her brand and style:

About: KMW Catalyst is a personal and professional development company working with unselfishly ambitious business leaders, organizations and citizens of the world to catalyze the power of their greatness.

What 3 words describe your personal style? Expressive, Diva-tudinal (I may have just made that up!), A mood

How does your style reflect your personal brand? As someone who is passionate about loving the skin that I am in and equipping others to own their power personally and professionally, my style reflects my authentic personal brand and makes me feel boss. From demure, muted tones to bright primary colors, each aesthetic creates a mental mood for me and reflects my inner confidence.

What is your signature piece? I do not really have a signature piece per se, but more of a signature color. Red is that color for me. From red Nikes, to red stilettos, to red lipstick to red suits, I can't get enough. It is a passionate, powerful and eye-catching color. It is impossible to have a bad day wearing red.
