Summer 2020 is here and many of us are still working from home and navigating family life. That also means nothing much has really changed from a work wear perspective. I still advise my clients to dress comfortably, incorporate layering and dress head to toe- especially if you're giving a presentation or on a virtual interview.

However, with a new season comes new trends that you can incorporate into your work from home wardrobe. Incorporating trends that speak to your personal style and brand not only help add newness to your daily looks but they can also help boost your productivity and confidence. What you wear has a direct impact on your mindset. So even when no one, except you, is looking- dressing to your unique personal style and bringing in new pieces can help put you in the work mindset.

Here are 4 refreshing summer trends that are perfect additions to your work from home attire.
Linen- A breathable natural fiber that's perfect for summer days when you go from work, to playtime with the kiddos and back to work. Caution- linen wrinkles so look for a linen blend.

Neutrals- Calm and comforting colors that are easy to mix and match with whatever your work from home day entails. Attending a work Zoom meeting? Wear a khaki colored utility blouse with a printed scarf. Heading out to get curbside take out? Take the scarf off. Hoping onto an evening Zoom call? Pop the scarf back on.

Puff Sleeves- Add some fun to your Zoom meeting outfit with a puff sleeve top!

Bermuda Shorts- Yup, actual bottoms.. The Bermuda short style is perfect for a casual yet polished look. It'll keep you cool as you work all day and then head out the door for a social distancing get together.

Keep in mind, you don't have to wear a trend just because it's a trend. If you do decide to incorporate trends ensure that they work back to you authentic personal style.

What new trends will you be incorporating?
